Osaka Area

Let us introduce the sense of distance within Osaka and surroundings. Osaka’s first place is “Shin-Osaka”.

The region of Osaka and its surroundings is referred to as “Kansai”, in opposition to “Kanto”, the area that designates around Tokyo. Also Kansai, there are a lot of big and/or famous cities, such as the world renown old town of Kyoto and Nara. There are many different land routes that connect every place within the Kansai region (railway, bus, taxi etc.).

From the past, Osaka has been a developed city, where trade thrived. Maybe slightly less than in Tokyo, but we can say that means of transportation are pretty well developed around Osaka.
