Family restaurants offer a relatively general tasting palette, seasoning, offering, and price range for everyone, including some of the dishes introduced in the “Japanese food” and “Western food” page. It’s slightly different from a “specialized” store. Basically, it tastes like Japanese food, as well as being Japanese portion sizes, so it may be simpler to categorize it all as “Japanese food”… But if we say this, we’re sure to get scolded by others.

The food stocked is generally pretty popular. If you look at the menu from “Family Restaurants,” you will understand how diverse the dishes that are now commonly eaten by Japanese people are.
